Position: Divisional Head: Community Enterprise Development

Workplace:  EBSN Offices, Cnr Voortrekker and Monument Road, Kempton Park

Salary: R 1 047 497 - R1 300 000 (TCTC)

 

Key performance areas:

  • Develop, plan and drive overall enterprise development strategy and project planning focusing on SMME, cooperative enterprise and business incubation development in order to drive township economies
  • Develop sectoral development strategies to encourage and leverage enterprise development opportunities for the benefit of local business operators
  • Oversee overall local economic development interventions with a particular focus of enterprise development and community empowerment by providing and facilitating interventions with focus on the five (5) township complexes
  • Develop and manage sector-based industrial incubation framework and projects to promote light-scale industrial interventions in the five (5) township complexes
  • Develop and manage technical and business skills development programme through effective management of the skills centres to provide experiential career development experience, learnership, apprenticeship and mentorship programmes to local communities
  • Ensure the effective design and integration of enterprise development programme management frameworks, tools and systems
  • Facilitate access to procurement opportunities for the benefit of local entrepreneurs through effective strategic management
  • Oversee and ensure mutually beneficial agreements through negotiations, relationship management and administer agreements that have been signed with strategic partners
  • Ensure effectiveness and integration of enterprise development learning and development programmes
  •  Provide overall direction in terms of overall programme management and implementation
  • Identify and manage project interfaces and interdependencies within and across programmes and projects
  • Ensure that benefits of programmes and projects are delivered through critical assessment of project effectiveness and facilitation of change

 

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BAdmin) Degree or equivalent relevant NQF Level 7 qualification. A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
  • 8 years’ experience of which at least 4 years must have been at senior management level 
  • Track record of excellence in enterprise development and project management
  • Strategic capability and leadership skills

  • Planning and organizing skills
  • People management and empowerment skills

Note: The successful candidate who does not have the NQF Level 5 Finance Management qualification will be required to obtain it within 18 months, in terms of the National Treasury Requirement.

Appointments will be made on a 5 (five) year fixed term and will be subject to the signing of an employment contract, performance agreement and disclosure of financial interest.  Candidates will be subjected to relevant competency assessment as well as security clearance / vetting processes.
