Position: Manager: Financial Data Processing

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc or BCom degree in Computer Science (NQF Level 7)
  • A valid driver's license
  • Report writing skills
  • Logical thinking skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • 5 years relevant experience

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide and implement strategic capability and leadership input into financial systems and MIS division's objectives ensuring that the strategic capability and leadership is managed accurately
  • Manage the operational processes to ensure an effective and reliable financial system in the Metro
  • Manage staff within the unit ensuring that people are managing optimally and division / organisational outcomes are achieved
  • Manage the governance and risk management ensuring governance and risk management complies with the City of Ekurhuleni's internal processes, policies and MFMA Act
  • Ensure adequate implementation and maintenance of financial processes ensuring that the financial processes with the required outcomes (daily, monthly reports, financial systems and MIS reports) are achieved
  • Maintain customer service orientation ensuring the customer services orientation, namely out direct stakeholders and financial systems and MIS are adhered to
