Purpose:

• Plan, organise, lead and control department's economic infrastructure inventory, programme and initiatives.
• Provide strategic leadership and capability in the development of CAPEX projects and facilities management to ensure effective, efficient and sound financial management relating to Capital Expenditure.
• Plan and implement operational processes that are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure the implementation of the divisional strategy and operational.
• Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements.
• Participate in and implement the financial management of the division during budgetary planning processes to ensure compliance with the financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
• Manage and ensure customer service orientation environment to ensure sound relations with the customer in relation to CAPEX projects

• Bachelor Degree in Built Environment or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• 5 - 8 years' experience in a similar environment

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
