Purpose:

Responsibilities


  • Ensure that all AMR, Smart, Prepayment and Conventional meter installations are installed and maintained to an acceptable standard
  • Audit all metering related processes in area of responsibility, design electricity tariffs and analyse meter related data
  • Provide specialist input into the development and amendment of policy, process and SOPs across the organisation
  •  Apply specialised knowledge in the field of electricity demand and other three phase metering to ensure that ensure that the City of Ekurhuleni metering remains at a very high standard of accuracy and safeguard the income generated by effective metering
  • Apply specialised engineering knowledge to enable Energy dept to effectively deal with metering and tariff related disciplines
  • Comply with legislation and organisational policy to effectively contribute towards meeting organisational objectives
  • Ensure that financial administration delivery process comply with governance standards and legislative requirement to prevent financial losses
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholders that promotes cross functional process delivery solutions
  • Provide effective and efficient people management to maintain a high level of productivity

Job Requirements


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (heavy Current)  
  • ECSA registered
  • Code B Valid driver's license
  • 5 years' experience in revenue, metering installations and design of tariffs

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
