Purpose:

Responsibilities


  • Plan, organise, lead and control market operations, administration and management and related activities for the effective operations of the market.
  • Provide strategic leadership and capability in the development of the market policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient market operations and functions
  • Plan and implement operational process that are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure implementation of Market By-Law and Policies as contemplated in the operational strategy of the market.
  • Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements.
  • Participate in and implement the financial management of the division during budgetary planning processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA.
  • Manage and ensure customer service orientation environment to ensure sound relations with the customer


Job Requirements


  • B Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Economics or Operations Management or Business Administration  or equivalent
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in fresh produce and FMCG
